Francesca Soldani owns and operates Daeverso Translations. Born in 1972, she grew up in Florence and after receiving her secondary schooldiploma in languages moved to Geneva, where she began her university-level studies at the École de traduction et d’interprétation (School for Translators and Interpreters), choosing English and French as her working languages but at the same time studying German. After obtaining her degree in 1996 she specialised, interning and studying abroad: in Switzerland, at the Berne offices of the Swiss Federal Chancellery; in Denver, Colorado, at a software company; and in Munich, were she worked toward perfecting her German-language skills. In 1998, she earned full Italian undergraduate degree equivalency from the University of Bologna at Forlì for her 1996 Swiss degree. She has been active professionally since 1998 in Italy. Following her first foray as project manager at a well-known translation agency, she worked as in-house translator at the Milan branch of a Swiss agency. In 2004, she became a partner and managing director at the Zeroquattro srl communications, training and translation services agency. Ten years later, in 2014, she founded her own company, Daeverso Translations, working between Milan and Florence. She became an ordinary member (no. 216022) of AITI (Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters) the next year. She is also a non-resident member of ASTTI (Swiss Association of Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters).
